Ask the right questions of any dataset.
Visualise distributions, trends and relationships.
Spot outliers and issues before they mislead you.
Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) teaches the disciplined curiosity that every project begins with. Using Python, Pandas and visualisation on real datasets, you'll learn to summarise data, examine distributions and relationships, detect outliers, and form the hypotheses that guide analysis and modelling — the essential step before any conclusion or model.
Basic Python helps! Some Python/Pandas familiarity is useful; we reinforce it as we go. Ideal for aspiring analysts and data scientists.
Earn the "EDA Specialist" badge upon completing all modules and the hands-on final assessment.
Verifiable CredentialWhy exploration comes first and how to approach any dataset.
Distributions, summary stats and data profiling.
Charts that reveal structure, trends and anomalies.
How variables relate, and what that implies.
Detect outliers and deliver an EDA report on real data.
Explore and understand any dataset quickly.
Turn raw data into clear, early insight.
Frame the right questions before modelling.
Investigate data rigorously for studies and reports.
Some basic Python/Pandas helps, but we reinforce the essentials as we go. Every technique is practised on real datasets.
Just a laptop. We use free tools — Python, Pandas, Matplotlib/Seaborn and Jupyter/Colab. Set-up help is provided in the first session for online learners.
To receive the Edmire EDA Specialist Certificate, complete all 5 modules and the capstone — a full exploratory analysis and report on a real dataset. Resubmission is free if needed.
Visualization is one tool within EDA. EDA is the broader investigative process — summarising, questioning, visualising and spotting issues — that guides what to analyse or model next.
