Verifiable CredentialIoT is the consumer and business side — smart devices, sensors and wearables connected to the internet. OT (Operational Technology) is the industrial side — the control systems running factories, power grids and buildings. The course covers both and where they meet.
For classroom training, all devices and lab kits are provided at our training centre. For live online training, you'll need any computer — we use simulators and live demonstrations, and optionally guide you through affordable starter devices for home practice.
To receive the Edmire IoT & OT Essentials Certificate, you must complete all 5 modules and pass the hands-on final assessment — a set of practical tasks (configuring a smart device automation, mapping a small IoT network, identifying OT components) in a live lab. Students who do not pass on the first attempt can retake the assessment free of charge.
You can take this course as classroom training at our Dubai centre, as live online classes with an instructor, or as custom on-demand training for groups and companies. All course materials remain yours to keep, so you can revisit any topic after the course ends.
